A lovely hotel with warm comfortable rooms and a good bar. The only letdown at breakfast was the lack of fried eggs, other than that it was good.

Very convenient and superb room (suite) in the old building. Comfortable and well appointed. Absence of staff during breakfast service.

Stonehouse Court is a truly enchanting wedding venue that seamlessly blends historic charm with modern elegance. As a wedding photographer, I’ve been fortunate to capture many unforgettable celebrations here, and it never ceases to amaze me. The beautifully landscaped grounds and the backdrop of the historic manor house create a picture-perfect setting for both ceremonies and receptions.

Very charming and beautiful hotel, with excellent, well-mannered, and knowledgeable staff. Great base to visit the Cotswolds, we visit Bourton on the Water, Gloucester Quays, and Swindon Outlook in our 2-night visit. However, only 3 stars as the accommodation was cold with only luke warm showers, the execution of the decorating should have been better, dont expect paint on the window frames. We had a classic room (49) which had excellent views and spacious. Breakfast was OK with continental and cooked available, but with a limited choice, the staff were happy to assist with freshly cooked fried eggs on demand. Evening meal was OK with a decent wine list. EV charger available, at £5/ hour or £36 for the night.

As GL10 residents we visit Stonehouse court every week, Sharon one of your employees is so curtious, attentive, caring, polite and a pleasure to speak to, she deserves recognition for best employee, five stars from Nigel.

We visited this hotel after looking at the website photos, in reality the pictures are completely different from the real thing, I was very disappointed the rooms look tired and grubby, it's a three star I think that's stretching it ,I think one star would suffice. In the room I was in had a grubby bath I tried using it but the plug wouldn't hold water ,there was no where to put shampoo or soap,it was the same in the shower. The carpet was old and dirty. The room also had a television it was on a shelf at the end of the bed ,it was far to big and it's all you could see whilst in bed,I didn't watch it and found it annoying to look at this black square. It's over the top and ridiculous. The breakfast wasn't good for me,I enjoy a good fruit selection, the first day a few pieces of melon, two rotting banana's and a apple. We paid £603.00 for three days it wasn't value for money ,we left after two day's. I suggest looking around before going here. This hotel is off a very busy main rd the entrance is very tight,at night it’s impossible to see the entrance and it’s easily missed, there’s a sign but in the dark it may as well not be there,it definitely needs some lighting.

Great hotel, friendly staff. I’m coming here since 2017 and only negative point is that quality of food has been degraded.

We visited today for afternoon tea, the food and service were excellent but what really made our day was the kind and thoughtful staff. We mentioned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, having been married at Stonehouse Court 26 years ago. A member of staff took us to see the room we had our ceremony in and we had a peek at the bridal suite. It was really touching and so nice for us to reminisce. The staff helped make our wedding special all those years ago and they made our anniversary for us today too.

Staff are so obnoxious this place is a nice location, but realistically, this is just outside stroud, not even the Cotswolds. Unfortunately, from my experience, the receptionist covered for the catering department, making promise they would make contact with us, but in reality, they just wanted my family away from reception over a week passed and still no contact from the hotel not impressed.

Stayed overnight as had booked to see a Murder mystery with a three course meal that was on here. All brilliant!! Actors got you into the spirit. Staff were helpful, friendly. Can't wait for the next one!! Food was brillant. Breakfast was very good too. Room was lovely, as well as the grounds. Nice, beautiful little walk along the canal behind.

I had a lovely afternoon tea with my family for my mum’s birthday. We had a really nice time and enjoyed the selection of cakes included. All of the staff were lovely, but Sophie especially was particularly helpful.

I came here with my wife and daughter for afternoon tea and it was a really nice experience. From the friendly staff, who accommodated the afternoon tea for our 4yr old, to the wonderful food and lovely setting. Afterwards we went for a nice walk around the grounds and along the canal - definitely coming back here again.

Hotel and staff are lovely. Afternoon tea booked, but the quality wasn't what i expected for the venue. It seems they are doing wowcher deals, which may explain this. Better afternoon tea locally if you are looking for a special experience.

I recently photographed a surprise proposal at Stonehouse Court and loved how friendly and helpful the staff were. They set everything up beautifully for the client and even added music to make everything that little bit more romantic. Gemma was the events manager and she came over to let me know which way my couple would be walking and where to hide. She made sure everything was perfect and put their favourite champagne on ice for them. It was really beautiful and I do hope to work here again soon.

We just stayed on night in this historical house, the atmosphere is sending you several centuries in the past, the service is very welcome and great. From the food side it was good with good choices except for the wines, poor choices and quality, so far from the level that we can expect from such places! The bad surprise came from the breakfast, that was good itself but the guest around us were so noisy (weeding organized the day before), so much noise like in a pub... we expected beter and such place deserves better. We would like to recommend but not sure unfortunately...

We stayed the night before a wedding and was overall disappointed. For the cost the rooms were small, when they say cozy they are not kidding. But the shower and beds were comfy to be fair. Bar service was not great and drinks way over priced - £15 for a pint and a glass of wine!! Guinness not served in a Guinness glass!! Then when we wanted a taxi there was no one at reception for 10 minutes and eventually someone had to go and get them, by now a queue was forming and the receptionist could not find a cab number for us and I gave up and got an Uber. Small things maybe but just added to a frustrating stay. Our family also had issues with showers not working and putting our 80 year old mum at the top of the hotel with no lifts!! There was also only one disabled toilet but that was in the suite that was being used for a wedding! I don’t like leaving bad reviews but all I can say the hotel we stayed at the next night for said wedding was exceptional and £50 less, with accessible rooms and great bar staff - so go figure!
